Taken from the Eagle Roost Trail at Circle B Bar Reserve south of Lakeland, Florida. The wingspan is about 80 inches.
2nd Avenue Birmingham, AL. NS 5194 gets a glimpse of it's potential future in the form of former high hood, NS 3306. I've shot 3306 on several occasions before the sadmiral cab and to me it was one of the better looking high hoods running around. But soon Cartoona had their way with this and roughly 400 other former high hoods on NS that have been rebuilt into chopped nosed units of some form or another. For now 5194 retains hers.
NS intermodal train 25A passes through Boyce, Virginia on July 29, 2023, with evidence of damage caused by strong winds the previous afternoon evident on the other side of the track. Fortunately, at least at this location there was no damage to nearby structures, including the former N&W depot, and the new house under construction just out of the picture to the left.
