52 8154-8 fährt mit ihrem Sonderzug aus dem Bahnhof von Zeitz. Der Bahnhof Zeitz hat sich noch viel Flair einer vergangenen Zeit bewahren können, Formsignale im Überfluss, Pilzlampen und ausgedehnte Gleisanlagen zeugen von einstigen Wichtigkeit der Eisenbahn in der Region

Yes, it's come to this. For lack of other subject matter, I spent a few minutes photographing this coot. They're so numerous, I just always skip over them. But on my rather brisk walk today at the lake, there didn't seem to be a lot of opportunity. And I do love their feet. The lake level had risen so much from recent rains (hard to believe, I know) that the shoreline I usually walk along was pretty much gone, so I had to watch this bird from the elevated path. Bonelli Regional Park, San Dimas, CA.

This mushroom caught my eye while I was hiking this evening.
