The Northern Flicker Bird or common flicker is a medium-sized bird of the woodpecker family. It is primarily a ground-foraging woodpecker that occurs in most wooded regions of North America. It is native to most of North America, parts of Central America, Cuba, and the Cayman Islands. It is one of the few woodpecker species that migrate. This Bird was in my yard. Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
