The wonderful sunset show. On the Livorno coast there are winds that come from the Gulf of Lion (France) from Libya (and takes the name Libeccio) and from Greece (Grecale). When they meet, an imposing, majestic, biblical spectacle takes place.

After catching #4087 west of Welch we decided to part ways with that manifest train and turn to another classic location to photograph incoming west-bounds: the Court Street overlook. Here, SD70ACe #1083 leads a heavy intermodal train through town and over the crossing below at Appalachian Drive.
Empty Ethanol train at Winona. Headed west on the former DM&E. I was going to chase this until sundown as it headed to Waseca into good sun but they tied up at Goodview :>(

"Speed Exemplified": Canadian National #89 in World War 2 Transportation Corps lettering speeds with goods and ammunition ready for our nation's troops on the evening of May 26th. Engineer Dave Domitrovich is seen in the right hand seat of #89. This re-lettering of CN #89 was done by the Strasburg Rail Road in conjunction with Lerro Productions for the Red Ball Express evening photo charter.
