Rotkehlchen / Robin
This trusting robin clearly enjoyed posing. It kept changing poses and we had a very nice encounter.

I took so many pictures of these caribou because it was such a treat to be able to see them in the wild. They were migrating through this area and sometimes came closer to check out what we were because they had never seen people before. Taken in the Southern Arctic in Nunavut, Canada.
We have since received an email that the lodge where we stayed had to close because they said there weren't enough caribou for the people to see. It seems that the numbers have decreased
Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.
Je me révèle à contre jour,
Petit soldat sombre ici,
Du soleil mon psyché est mû,
Muselé, mon être ici gît,
De vous je ne suis plus ému.

I positioned the camera with Helios 44M at f/8 and extension tubes next to some raspberry canes that the bees were interested in, and managed this shot of a buff-tailed drone (I could be wrong, they are very similar to some other species). I used an electronic remote cable release to minimise the disturbance of the bees.
I was hoping to capture some tree bumblebees for the Macro Monday theme of Orange (I have a busy nest in the garden). A couple of issues arose, due to the size of those bees - they so heavy that they pull the flower forward, swinging it out of focus and they are so big that they don't fit within the depth of field. Fortunately this drone of a different species was a bit easier to capture, despite not being very orange.
In post-processing, I've tried to increase the detail contrast, flipped the image (the bee was upside-down) and added a little bit of vignette.
