Today we both woke up early so we could go to the store. We were going to go on a trip on the boat but it was raining a lot. So it was a lazy day in cottage country.
Took a nap made sandwiches and watched 'so you think you can dance' (LOVE IT)
Later we saw the tail end of the sunset. Today's 365 is enhanced but if you check out 'Canadian colours' that is more of what it looked like. Once it got dark we went and looked at the stars on this amazing cloudless night. It was beautiful and I'm sure if you go outside right now you will still be able to see them!
p.s. the trek through the woods and back to see the sunset was pretty epic. My legs are scratched from all the sticks we ran into (it was almost dark walking back) and a bat flew into my face haha. (I love bats, it just startled me) but i'd say it was worth it :)
ps. i still have a scar on my leg from this trip (may 29 2010)
Hey Everyone! Thanks to all those who have already given me feedback! I really appreciate it! :) For this photo, I realy wanted to show me vs me. Two faced, the before and after (excluding hair…that’s all natural). What do you think? I felt that I needed to show people the real me before I carry much further on with this project! This photo has not been touched up. This is my make-up that I wear each day (However, the foundation is a bit dark…It’s winter and my summer tan is gone….This bottle is almost finished..then I will get the proper tone! lol) HERE IS ME! :) Enjoy Day 8 ( I made it past a week! yes! lol)!

The GEF Biennial International Waters Conference (IWC) is the signature learning event for the GEF IW portfolio. The IWC objectives are to facilitate cross-sectoral and portfolio-wide learning and experience sharing. Participants sum up progress achieved and also look to the future of programming within and beyond the GEF IW focal area.
The IWC convenes about 300 participants, comprising GEF IW project managers, representatives of beneficiary countries, non-governmental organizations, transboundary management institutions, UN Agencies and the private sector.
The IWRM AIO SIDS project invited the focal points and demonstration project managers from Comoros, Seychelles, Mauritius, Maldives, Cabo Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe to take part to the Conference.

Habitat: wood edge, road side, semiruderal place, flat terrain, alluvial terrace, calcareous ground, partly sunny; elevation 350 m (1.150 feet); average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 8-10 deg C, alpine phytogeographical region.
Substratum: soil.
Place: Bovec basin, near Podklopca settlement, at the end of the dirt road leading to Soča river bed, East Julian Alps, Posočje, Slovenia EC.
Comment: Potentilla norvegica is another member of large genus Potentilla (about 500 species have been described worldwide), which doesn't 'respect' its name. Its leaves have three leaflets and not fife as its common names suggest. Potentilla norvegica is a variable species. The origin of this species is not completely clear. Some authors distinguish two subspecies: Potentilla norvegica subsp. hirsuta (Mich.) Hyl. with obovate leaflets, which is supposed to be native in North America, and Potentilla norvegica subsp. norvegica, which is an Eurasian taxon.
Species is rather rare in Slovenia and also rare and protected in neighboring countries Austria (Ref.2) and Croatia (Ref.7). Other authors consider it as a weed, currently spreading and of no concern regarding protection. This find is, to our present knowledge, one of the very few in the Upper Posočje region and the first in MTB9647 square (Central European Flora Mapping).
