I haven't been shooting much lately and it's killing me. Too much to do at the day job, trying to close on a house, working on a book project, and spending qt with my baby daughter means that I haven't gotten to go do a dedicated shoot (other than the book project) for some time now. Luckily, I pass plenty of interesting subject matter during the course of my day and have been able to get somewhat of a photography fix in transit.
I just found the perfect coat for my Islandic Winter Getaway! And it was one sale! Muhua. Muhuahua. MuhuAHUAHUAHAUAUAU

Anna's Hummingbird, this is one of my personal favorite capture! I took the challenge to shoot at 2.8 as close as possible to the subject and here is the result. The capture was taken few feet from the ground, the background is grass.... hope you'll enjoy it.

Here's a pixelstick portrait of my brother Trey Carpenter. Hunter and I were able to visit Tyler, Trey and their roommate Micah in NC over the weekend and we had a blast! Stranger #8/100, Vinnie Carbone, Owner of Canal Spirits, a small craft distillery in Canal Fulton, Ohio. I went in there one afternoon and was the only customer for a while, so we had a good discussion, I sampled the wares, and brought some home. A good time was had by all.

This year's Advent calendar has also the theme: "Christmas Wreaths Everywhere". Most of the Christmas wreaths were made by my mother over the years, three made me and four are bought in stores.
Christmas days will alternate with indoor and outdoor scenes. Sometimes you will see one doll, sometimes a couple or a doll with a children.
On the each advent day will be some christmas activity, which dolls will be they do.
