Found by fluke, and a rare sight. Classic ghost sign of days long gone. Seems to be usually covered by advertisement, hence reason somewhat preserved. Went back in time to the long gone Disc-O-Mat, days. I remember prizing many vinyl LPs, from Adam Ants, AC/DC (BIB that I still have), Boston, 3 Dog night, Zep, Floyd and scores more. Conveniently located around corner from Crazy- Eddie, only true old school NYers know that one. Still tube receiver @ 110W and Technique Table. Still spinning the classics.

BTW location is now a fen Burger King. lol..

NYC, Times Square - 7th Ave

.

---

Times Square is a circus, where everyone is a spectator and a trapeze artist. It is a stage but also an anthill in the middle of which to get confused. A land of toys with particular characters and lights, where no one is equal to the other, everyone can be strange. And since everyone is strange, nobody seems strange! To feel in the spotlight in Times Square you just have to come up with some nice ones!

It’s not one of the places I like most in New York, but I admit that all that riot of everything enchants!

ENGLISH :

Saturday morning, 7th Avenue, rainy day. We go to the MoMA, through Midtown and the most beautiful buildings

The hardest walk is the one you make alone but that is the walk that makes you the strongest.

A new charcoal drawing of New York City by British expressionist artist Stephen B. Whatley.

The artist, who has a great affection for the USA, created the work on Thanksgiving Day, inspired by a drawing made on location on 7th Avenue - and capturing the iconic Empire State Building.

Whatley's work has been published in TIME magazine and is permanently showcased through his series of 30 paintings commissioned by the Tower of London & reproduced throughout the main pedestrian entrance to the Tower, outside Tower Hill Station, London.
