Two former demonstrator Enviro 400MMCs were added to the EYMS fleet in 2015 as part of a vehicular revamp on route X46. For various reasons both have evaded my camera, though this changed today when YX64VOO (794) was caught at Gardham crossroads on the A1079 with the 09:17 York-Hull X46.
And a look at the interior of 794 - very smart indeed, with a few added extras: the large luggage rack on the left; a media screen above me; WiFi; and power sockets underneath the seats.

Amsterdam 794 in his original livery is crossing the Amstel river. He is on his way to Zoutkeetsgracht terminus. This tram is still in Amsterdam (picture below). Amsterdam got rid of the 'old' trams. GVB 794 is now preserved.

Goodbye Blokkendozen
Last week of the 9G/10G series of GVB Amsterdam (1979-2015). Series nicknamed Blokkendozen (Box of Blocks).
"See you later" is however more appropriate as no 794 is predestined to become heritage vehicle of the series.

Meeting today in Amsterdam. Badly prepared I left camera at home. Only to find out when I got there that my meeting was along line 3....where I saw 794 in action.....so a low quality shot with phone camera was the only thing I could manage. Still glad to have had the opportunity as I have good memories from the few times I went to see the series this year

During 2012 and 2013 great progress has been made on Edinburgh's new tramway network and at certain locations along the route there is real evidence that the project is at last beginning to look like something credible.
Here at Stenhouse you can almost imagine a tram gliding alongside Volvo B7TL, Wright Eclipse Gemini number 794 (SN56 AEU) which is working on Service 1 on a Friday when several of our new hybrid single deckers were temporarily off-service owing to minor adjustments.
Engine No. 794 1916
This original Southern Pacific 135-ton locomotive, one of only four "Mikado" engines left in the United States, was retired and given to the city in 1957. Engine No. 794 served from 1916-1956 as a freight train, running trips from San Antonio to Del Rio, Corpus Christi, Houston and Kerrville. With the renovation of the Southern Pacific Depot, No. 794 returned home in January 1999, a move reflecting the historical significance of the city's railroading past. The move to the Depot took three days, as the locomotive and tender were the second heaviest objects ever relocated by truck in San Antonio.
It was a drizzly overcast day when I shot this. I like the dark sky and how it adds an element of drama to this old engine.
This is a 2 panel 3exp each Vertorama stitched in PSE7.
Edit Second Version with added layer mask of bright. The first version was a lot darker once I loaded it to Flickr.
