Missed focus, because the legs weren't the intended subjects here. My actual intention was to catch my breath (about mid-way while climbing these 374-step stairs) under the guise of taking some wall photos, and the group that was taking a break a few steps below decided to get moving. I later adjusted the focus to catch a similar scene with legs of other passers-by, but I still like this the best composition-wise.
Montagne de Bueren, Liege
It is dusk and the tide has started to rise. The water is getting to deep for bears to fish successfully. A young bear cub digs out a salmon carcass that mom has hidden and takes off with it as her mother emerges behind her on the beach. The gulls are looking for any fallen scraps that they can make use of and a photographer makes use of any remaining light to capture the escapade unfolding before him.

The above image is from last year!
The northbound migration of many shorebird species to their nesting grounds comes to a peak along the Delaware Bayshore in northern Delaware and southern New Jersey during the last full moon of May... Most species depend on the eggs of the Horseshoe Crab to feed and fuel their journey north, many of them all the way to the arctic.
I usually go overboard on tight detailed images... It's what I enjoy, but I do shoot more habitat based images at times as well...
I moved the lights around a bit and got more shadows in this one. The possibilities are endless!! I also had to do some spot removal of the tiny little bubbles and pecks of dirt so if you try this make sure everything is very clean! and don't let your cat come near!
