Something caught his eye. He/she has been a regular visitor to my yard, including yesterday, January 13, 2026. They have developed whatever it takes to survive our winters. Eating my grass seems to be one of his staples. Taken in my back yard in Calgary, Alberta.
Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Taking pan shots or motion blurs still remains to be one of my favorite activities when photographing bison and wildebeest. Two different animals on different continents with vaguely similar stature, both physical as well as social. There is no doubt that most of the photos are trash but I love the results when a good photo can be created. Maybe I just love that I can shoot to my heart’s content? After all, what photographer isn’t happiest when pressing the shutter? The ethereal quality of a good motion blur breathes life into a still frame. This is one of my favorites from my recent trip to Yellowstone.

The comment was made that Iceland has something like 10,000 waterfalls. I have no clue as to the real number, but I know they are plentiful. This one (made up #7649), was seen early in the trip driving along the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It was in the distance behind a small farm, and I asked if we could stop. I would hike numerous hours in the states to get to a scene like this, and here it took but a few minutes off the road. I tweaked the ankle a little jumping across the water and getting to this spot, but it was worth it, as I couldn't pass up the great looking moss.
Thanks for looking!
