Richard "Rick" Wicklander and his Wife Bobbie who we have been good friends with for over 50 years. Both of these wonderful people were, at one time or another, flying students of mine. In March of 1973 (50 years ago!), I recommended Bobbie for her Private Pilot Flight Test, which of course she passed. She was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time with her second child. They came from Spanaway, Washington to attend my party, and I am very grateful.
U.S. Army photos of "Experience El Paso" taken on August 28, 2017 at the United States Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas. USASMA continues to welcome Class 68 with "Experience El Paso", a gathering of vendors that offer students information on local businesses,
restaraunts, and tourism. A local mariachi group performed live music, and vendors gave out free food, gifts, and prizes. The "Experience El Paso" event is held once a year in
USASMA's court yard to help promote Fort Bliss's host city, and encourage our students to enjoy their visit this academic year. U.S. Army photo by Spc. James Seals.
