Fishermen on Lake Victoria try to catch tilapia and nile perch. Lake Victoris is an important revenue producer for Uganda and the Ugandan people. Many fishermen throw nets to catch the fish and then sell them at the market. Many fisherman are able to purchase the necessary supplies through microfinance loans like those offered from VisionFund Uganda. These businesses help support families, communities and provide much needed economic development.
