British Rail Class 755 3 car diesel electric Bi-Mode Multiple Unit (BMU) 755330 ex Ipswich as operated by Greater Anglia arriving in fading light at Felixstowe Station in the County of Suffolk (UK).

This was David's train back down the Felixstowe branch line to the Great Eastern main line at Ipswich.

The Class 755 BMU's were a direct replacement from 2019 for the ancient Class 156 'Sprinter' DMU trains that operated on rural Greater Anglia secondary lines.

755330 was built for Greater Anglia by Stadler Rail at their facility in Bussnang Switzerland as one of the Stadler 'FLIRT' (Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train) modular family of trainsets.

The Class 755 bi-mode units should not be confused with the almost identical looking Stadler Rail 'FLIRT' Class 745 Electric (only) Multiple Units which are also operated by Greater Anglia.

Not a great capture, but definitely a great subject. We had a wonderful experience on one morning of our trip to Yellowstone. We had the opportunity to view two wolves pretty closely, Wolf 755M and 889F. These wolves headed to a kill in the Lamar Valley. A couple of other wolves had brought down a bull elk the day before, and these wolves enjoyed a little of the meal. We actually saw the other two, called Big Gray and Lamar Black Female, the previous night, but it was almost dark and there was little light for any good photos.

Relatively new(ish) British Rail Class 755 3 car diesel electric Bi-Mode Multiple Unit (BMU) 755327 working the 2D82 14:17 (14:30 RT) Ipswich - Lowestoft Greater Anglia service train at Woodbridge Station in the County of Suffolk (UK).

755327 was built for Greater Anglia by Stadler Rail at their facility in Bussnang Switzerland as one of the Stadler 'FLIRT' (Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train) modular family of trainsets.

The Class 755 bi-mode units should not be confused with the very similar looking Stadler Rail 'FLIRT' Class 745 Electric (only) Multiple Units which were introduced by Greater Anglia in 2020.

Note the Dellner type coupling system in the big ugly hole at the front of the train. The Dellner coupling is a version of the Scharfenberg coupler which connects pneumatics and electronics at the same point of contact. Also note the power pack vehicle located between the first and second coach.

Brand new British Rail Class 755 4 car diesel electric Bi-Mode Multiple Unit (BMU) 755415 working a Norwich Crown Point- London Liverpool Street pre in service test train southbound at Hatfield Peverel Station on the Great Eastern Main Line in the County of Essex (UK).

755415 has not yet entered revenue earning service and is the first Greater Anglia Class 755 diesel electric bi-mode unit to appear in my photostream.

755415 was built for Greater Anglia by Stadler Rail at their facility in Bussnang Switzerland as one of the Stadler 'FLIRT' (Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train) modular family of trainsets.

The Class 755 bi-mode units should not be confused with the very similar looking Stadler Rail 'FLIRT' Class 745 Electric (only) Multiple Units which are also being introduced on the Great Eastern Main Line by Greater Anglia from 2019.

It's unlikely that a Class 755 bi-mode unit will be seen this far south on the Great Eastern Main Line on a regular service train when they've become fully operational.

Note the pantograph is 'up'.
