Walking through the centre of Birmingham I met Fawn who happily agreed to take part in this project. Fawn lives locally in Birmingham.

If you are reading this Fawn many thanks for letting me take your portrait. Please get in touch if you want a copy or are not happy with the result and would prefer me to remove it from Flickr.

Joy (stranger 74)

When you make jewelry yourself and then sell it at all kinds of markets, then everyone can expect that you wear that jewelry yourself. Joy was resting in the shade of a tree with soft light shining on her face (the market wasn't that busy at the time), when I asked her if I could take a photo, so that there was a lot rings and bracelets can be seen. Joy immediately cooperated when I told her about the 100strangers project. In return I will advertise her company: www.catchbyjoy.nl, feel free to take a look.

This is the 74th photo of my 4th round of the 100strangers project. I enjoy doing it, that's why the 4th roundFind out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the group 100 Strangers | Flickr: www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers/

I must confess that I do love Marks & Spencer - everything within is great and the food is always superb and great value for money, in my opinion. I can never go through the check-out without picking up something that is strategically placed for the consumer to purchase just one more or a few more little bits-and-bobs. I was with my wife yesterday in M&S and these little Rhubarb and Custard drops just dropped into our basket, sorry, baskets!!

Today I took a walk with a friend for a mile or so...we ended up at this river so I got to use my new tripod and filter set. I got lucky with the goose in the photo.

The F-4Es formed the 'killer' element of the F-4E/G Wild Weasel 'Hunter/Killer' combinations. The G models would locate enemy radars, and the Es would provide the muscle to engage them. The Gs could, of course carry anti radiation missiles as well, but having a partner enabled more bad guys to be taken out. This tradition continued following the retirement of the F-4Es when F-16Cs would be paired with the Wild Weasel phantoms.

The large number, like on an athletic jersey but inverted, and the plaid flannel, and the letters that could actually form a word, but maybe they're a code . . . it all must add up for her!

I guess it's a hockey star-lumber jack thing.

The Enslow Covered Bridge is located in Blaine Pennsylvania, a very rural area of Perry County. The structure was built in 1904, is 110 feet long and 16 feet wide and utilizes a Burr Truss design. The bridge takes Adams Grove Road over Sherman's Creek. Perry County owns and maintains the bridge, and it is in great condition in a beautiful setting. We were lucky to arrive at the bridge to shoot it in the late afternoon sun. The GPS location of the bridge is N40 19.74 W77 29.49.

Camera: Calumet CC-401 4x5 large format monorail view camera

Lens: Rodenstock Geronar 150mm F6.3 lens in a Copal 0 shutter

Film: Arista EDU 100 Ultra 4x5 B&W sheet film, which I shot at 64 ISO

Settings: Shot at F32. Metered with a Pentax 1 degree spot meter. I blew out the sky and should have used a filter.

Development: Self Developed film in Rodinal 1:100 using semi-stand development in Paterson Universal Tank using the Taco Method. Tap water stop bath. Ilford Rapid Fixer. Photo-Flo. Hung on shower curtain to dry on film clips.

Scanning: Negative scanned with Epson V600 in two parts and merged in Photoshop CS5 since the V600 doesn't natively support scanning 4x5 sheet film and I haven't stepped up to the V700 yet.
