It was one of those days where it was so windy at Mojave, CA that you couldn't even stand up! So I took this picture of Southern Pacific SD40R #7375 leading a Westbound train with a 10 engine consist just West of town out of the car window.
Paducah & Louisville SD40 (ex-MP) 3041 is the second engine.
This was back in May of 1988 and the weather was so bad that we gave up on shooting Tehachapi Pass for the day and went back down to Cajon Pass and Beaumont Hill.

McGirts Creek bridge is currently getting another of the many recent upgrades, this time it's an environmentally friendly toilet, placed right in front of the bridge house. That marks the end of shots facing south from multiple angles.
