This little 3-year old filly pretty much captured my heart. It was my last afternoon in the area and I got zip the day before. So it was sweet to find her small band and one other for my final goodbye. When I picked her out, I was dumbfounded. She was so different in coloring from all the wild horses I'd seen --- ever. She just took my breath away. I spent the rest of the day trying to follow the group's movements and catch her with her face not in the lush grasses or behind the bush. This is my last look as the sun was disappearing and clouds moving in. Turned out she was quite the celebrity. Locals have dubbed her "Moonshadow." I kept hearing folks mention her name, but I was elated when I realized why all the talk and that I was given the gift.
