It was a bitterly cold and snowy morning. The House Sparrow was waiting for its turn to grab some suet when the Downy Woodpecker showed up, trying to skip the line. Mr. Sparrow got annoyed and a squabble ensued. In the end, the House Sparrow prevailed, and Mr. Downy grudgingly returned minutes later to claim its share of the suet! ;-)

After getting cloud screwed at Windy Point on Crawford Hill for most of the morning, we finally managed to get a "sucker hole" for this loaded coal train led by 5 SD40-2's and a fuel tender. Unfortunately the train was a little shorter than normal as all of the other trains had the entire helper set visible in the background! That's how it goes sometimes I guess. I believe this coal train with the blue hoppers was heading for Omaha, NE.
