In November and December I hadn't been able to do spend much time doing hobby related things as I had been moving house to Utrecht. But for my first photo of 2018 I was able to stay close to home. On this day 60 years ago, the last steam engines in the Netherlands was taken out of service, an type with the nickname Jumbo. To mark this, the railway museum asked NS if their train named Olifant (Elephant) was able to operate the shuttle to the railway museum.

CN 7208 was involved in a sideswipe and a derailment very early Sunday morning in the St-Henri neighbourhood of Montreal. Its frame was bent and so is being scrapped on site. Here the prime mover is being removed.
