Mega respect to the drivers during the past year who have kept running through everything that the past 12 months of chaos has been. Lothian brought in this lot of new buses in January having been sitting around for a while as I am still to ride on them I will not make any comments but they do look nice still missing what they replaced at the moment though. Here at the entrance to Newhailes woodland is Lothian buses 72 on the usual 30 to Clovenstone.
LA&L 72 is at the Avon Yard with a work train on May 18, 1997. The trackage the LA&L acquired North of Avon from Conrail was mostly good for just 10mph. The gons full of ties and the piles of ballast would be used to bring the line up to 25mph.
It feels like forever since I've done this, but I am trying. I've been taking photos with my film camera so I shall be getting those up soon.

LA&L 72 does the morning switching at Sweeteners Plus in Lakeville, NY on July 13, 2001. Sweeteners Plus now has a track mobile that it uses for switching this end of the facility, so views like this that were once taken for granted are no longer possible.
72% hydration dough, with 90% bread & 10% wheat flours.
Happy with the results, great flavor. Oven spring could be better. This was a 5hr bulk ferment, no autolyse time, with 1.5hrs proof time at room temp. I considered overnight proof but was impatient, maybe next time!

20th February 2018. On the Peak Heritage Railway BR WD Austerity 0-6-0ST No.72 [works no.5309 from 1945] heads a Rowsley South to Matlock service. Having just left Darley Dale No.72 looks very impressive in her NCB livery.
