Blackpool Transport 'Balloon' tram 717 was originally numbered 254 and has been restored to its 1930s livery as part of the 'heritage' fleet and is named Walter Luff, after the General Manager of the Corporation's Transport Department who introduced these trams in the 1930s as part of a modernisation programme. The tram is pictured heading south on a 'Tour of the Illuminations' between North Pier and the Tower,

THE BRIDGE OVER THE RESTERA DEL SILE
The Restera is the stretch of the Sile riverbank that connects the former river port of Treviso with that of Casier. It is a route of almost ten kilometers that can be tackled on foot, by bicycle or by boat. Various interventions over the years have given this place a well-kept and peaceful beauty, which conquers the Treviso residents and the most sensitive tourists in Sunday walks and sports activities.

Entering the turning loop at the Pleasure Beach in September `1985 is Blackpool Balloon tram 717.
I think that this was the only Balloon to have the higher set destination boxes at each end. 700 had them at one end only. Its seems to me as though the panel was put on upside down.

The F unit set in the previous image has returned to its train and resumed its eastbound trip at Halstead, PA. I believe the slide was taken in late spring of 1974 or 1975.
