December 30, 2016: Norfolk Southern empty coal train NS 709 (Wansley, GA-Mt. Vernon, IL) motors Northbound at Lindale, GA being lead by the Interstate Heritage Unit (ES44AC GE) and a Canadian National C44-9W GE.

In Köln worden een aantal tramlijnen gebruikt voor goederentreinen. Tussen Brühl en Hürth door treinen naar de schwarze bahn (hier rijdt tram 18 normaal om de 10 minuten), tussen Brühl en Wesseling (Hier rijden enkel 's nachts een aantal trams en overdag lege ritten) en tussen Frechen en Braunsfeld (Hier rijdt tram 7 om de 10 minuten), dit voor treinen naar het RWE netwerk, de zandverlading en het stadtwald.
De foto toont Rheincargo met een trein naar Knapsack in Brühl. Achteraan hangt DE84. Het gebeurd vaker dat deze trein ingesloten is met locomotieven. De terugritten vinden dan apart plaats zodat er een rit met losse loc bespaard kan worden. 16/07/2024
