Some buses soldiered on in 1985 in the original SELNEC inspired livery even though Greater Manchester had introduced a new scheme in 1981. Park Royal bodied Standard Atlantean 7021 was one such vehicle and is seen at Manchester Piccadilly Gardens bus station in April 1985.

This bus was based at the other former Salford City Transport garage at Frederick Road, or Freddy Road as it was known.

The iconic Lewis's department store can be seen in the background.

Ore load ISICS, just south of Oshkosh, WI at Ripple Rd. CNW put up a new vertical color light signal here for westbound (northward) trains right about at the end of the semaphore era, but this signal was not lit for long because the CNW went to DTC. I took advantage of the shorter mast this day.
