The climb over Orr's Lake Hill almost complete, 7013 and 8618 will soon overcome gravity and speed off towards London
The Saskatoon to St. Paul manifest heads into Hamel at milepost 17 on the Paynesville Sub, with a heritage unit on point. It's always a good day on the CP when one of these leads, also note the SD40-2 3rd out. The Soo Line era codeline still lingers around the ROW here, which make for some nice photo props.
CP 7013 leads CSX combined trains K364/Q364 at CP359 in Perinton, NY on the evening of July 3, 2021. Thankfully all of the power from Q364 was added behind the DPU between the two trains. I really like the retro CP scheme and made the effort to catch this train when it finally departed Buffalo. The lighting was harsh, but some high clouds helped mute the sun a little so that the engine colors show up O.K.
CP 7013 heads eastbound through Medina with grain loads in tow. Was not expecting to catch one of these heritage ACUs, sure was a nice sight.

The most famous SD70ACU trails behind the Empress as they make track speed between Vanegas and Catorce.
While I'm no modern EMD fan, these CP ACU's are one of the very few exceptions in my book, they're just absolutely amazing (don't matter if red, or special painted). One day I'll be able to snatch several of em leading.
I wonder if FXE's 30 Ex-NS SD70ACU's will be also an exception once they're finished being rebuilt next year.
