As a 700C with fairly tight clearances the '49 Herse was great handling and extremely responsive but left a bit to be desired in comfort and versatility, but as a 650B it's got it all going on... so I guess that's just what it's going to have to be.

First of all, Happy New Year to all my friends on here. I hope 2014 is a special year for you all. Thanks to all who come and comment and fave my images. It means so much to me. Thanks for sharing your worlds and your visions, and in turn, inspiring me so much.
Each year, I go back through my images and select my favourites from the previous twelve months. This year, I did things a little differently. Having the blog allowed me to write a little more about each image that I chose.
If you click on the links below, you can read about each image (taken with the DSLR - I intend to do the same for the iPhone images). Again, thanks to all.
2014!

Heading east from Chepstow, we soon returned to England, and reached Lydney, where the first coach we encountered was a long-time refugee from West Wales, this Leopard having been acquired by Soudley Valley from the Tycroes operator back in 1969. We found it parked in front of a school on the way through the town, and is a big clue as to where we were headed next !
It lasted on the road with Soudley Valley for 19 years, being stood down in 1988, and later went on to be a parts donor for the FoKAB group at Winchester.

A gentleman's randonneuse / light tourer....
This build has taken ages to complete but, I am very satisfied with the results.
Several firsts here: first new frame in 25 years, first frame designed for front loading, first experience of index gearing or ergo levers, first time I've ridden with more than 6 sprockets at the back!
