Last in the series, #7.
Thanks very much for the kind comments over this series of pictures. I'm glad so many enjoyed them. The pictures displayed here were slightly slimmed down compared to the facebook set but you get the idea. I kept the best ones for here.
Now the series is over I can get on with uploading some of the other pictures from this trip, hope you enjoy them as much as this series.
This picture, although not St Kilda, is from that day trip. It shows the foreboding, intimidating sea cliffs of the small uninhabited island of Boreray which sits about 4 miles north west of Hirta, the main island of the St Kilda archipelago.
It was an experience of a lifetime, even more so with the conditions I was fortunate enough to get throughout the day with beautiful swirling mists flowing between the ragged cliffs.
For anyone wondering there's nothing added or taken away, no deception. This picture is processed from one raw file only.
The full set of pictures for those on Facebook can be seen by following the link below.
Thank you very much for the interest and all the kind comments on the previous Boreray picture.

Older shot of my sister in a shop inside the Louvre/Paris during our trip in August.
Yes it's a bit out of focus, but it was a spontaneous shot and I still love it so much.
HBW y'all =)
Sorry for not beeing around too much lately, I'm terribly busy....

Wandered around the outskirts of Islamabad and found these kids. I was actually in the dump where there was a heap of old worn out shoes, a huge pile of broken bottles, tires and what not. The kids were so excited to see the camera mounted on the tripod and my sister who filmed the whole thing. I just loved seeing these faces smiling with such radiance.
What a day It had been!

"American sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua), also known as American storax,[3] hazel pine,[4] bilsted,[5] redgum,[3] satin-walnut,[3] star-leaved gum,[5] alligatorwood,[3] or simply sweetgum,[3][6] is a deciduous tree in the genus Liquidambar native to warm temperate areas of eastern North America and tropical montane regions of Mexico and Central America.
Sweetgum is one of the main valuable forest trees in the southeastern United States, and is a popular ornamental tree in temperate climates. It is recognizable by the combination of its five-pointed star-shaped leaves (similar to maple leaves) and its hard, spiked fruits. It is currently classified in the plant family Altingiaceae, but was formerly considered a member of the Hamamelidaceae.[7]
Thanks Carol for the ID. I appreciate your visiting, enjoy each day:)
I'm loving the way since starting PAD I'm seeing things differently. Who'd have thought a handful of straws could be so pretty.

I think I've worked my way through most of the classic/cliched San Francisco scenes, but I realized I'd never shot this view of the Transamerica Pyramid from Pier 7. Thanks to all the rain we've having there was enough standing water on the boardwalk to reflect at least the very top of the pyramid.

Edit 2: Explored at #7! Thanks so much everyone!
I could tell I had disappointed this fella.
"So you're gonna use me for next year's Christmas cards, and what do I get?"
It is unbelievable how fast these birds move. Pinning the focus on an eye is really difficult! Clearly more depth of field would have helped but I was already on iso 800 and handholding a telephoto at a slightly too slow shutter speed......
Maybe next time I'll pay him some bread to keep still for me.

For those of you located on the California coast, I hope you were able to get out and get some shots in this evening. The sky was absolutely gorgeous!! On the south end, there was a full on rainbow and towards the north, you got something like this.
Early on, I tried using my filters but I gave up cuz of the sea spray and rain drops. So I went with HDR here. I fired off 9 shots at 1 stop apart and polished things off in NX2.
Was chatting up with Jim Patterson at the same time as he was getting busy at Panther Beach.

Yey! I am a little excited to get back to my 365days project, but seriously I want to give up any second now..I'd rather start a brand new 52week project instead.
About the shot:
Okay, so I'm trying to minimize the manipulations, trying to find different locations around my vicinity for shoots. My sister and I found this amazing place, it was quite secluded and served as a perfect place to shoot. YEP I actually laid down this road as it was some comfy cot! :D haha, the road seemed to act like a roasting oven, it was that hot, but being a photographer you gotta do what you gotta do. Anyway, I might add that I did put a car mat under me ( which i have clonned out!), but it didn't hold back the heat! Ah well! :D Oh and I found stray horses there too, (even though these ones are photoshopped!) which I had to HAD to add in the shot! :D
So how did you find it?!

I always believe that life is full of colours,,,well ,,everybody believes so !!
We all have our favorites, but we must learn to enjoy and cherish all the colors....there will be black moments and whites too,,we just need to stand by ourselves , we will emerge out Stronger always : )

Having taped the last ornament to the building’s roof, Don climbed down the ladder and thanked the girls for helping him.
And then his cell phone rang:
“Yes, Booley, I know. Dinner at 5:30. I’ll be there…The tree’s there?...Maybe we could do it tomorrow? I just decorated KDON all day…OK, we’ll decorate the tree tonight…Yes, coming home soon. Bye!”
Note: If you missed Booley’s other phone call to Don earlier in the day, you can catch up with that mini-update here: www.flickr.com/photos/bogostick/50699398983/in/album-7215...

Known as the Independent B, or the "stub", this tank is a variant of the A1E1 Independent used by the United Province of Scotia. This tank was different from the first in that, it was about four feet shorter, had slightly thicker armour, had different engines, a new turret, and the turrets were all placed much farther back.
Because of the smaller design, it was more easily affordable, easier to manufacture, and more maneuverable.
And the back two turrets could fire straight up at aircraft!
Manufacturer: Stiller, under license from Vickers Armstrong
Dimensions: 21'2"x 8'7"x 8'6"
Armour Thickness: 34mm Front and Sides, 22mm Back, 34mm MG Turrets, 42mm Turret
Armament: 7mm Vickers Light Machinegun Mk.II (MG turrets), MkII(C)38mm Anti Tank gun(turret)
Powerhouse: 2x Mk VII V12(D) Engine
Max. Speed: 17 Kph
Name: A1E1(B) Infantry Tank (Heavy) [A1E1(B)IT(H)]
Class: Heavy Tank
Faction: United Province of Scotia
Pros: Big+0,Lots o' guns+2, Inspiring+0
Cons: Overstretched Commander-1, Many crew-1, Slow-0
Stats: ATK vs: Infantry:4 Armour: 3 Air: 1
Defense: 6
Range: 7
Thanks to my father for taking the pictures with his much better camera.
And I believe this is one of the first made of Lego, and definitely the first on Flickr.
Although, it's technically not the ACTUAL A1E1, so...
:D
52 weeks : Week 7
Thanks to my lovely friend who loaned me her remote, I was able to shoot this without having to press the shutter and run into position. It would have been nearly impossible for this photo since I was standing on a chair at the window from another room.... thanks dear ;p
Decided to upload another one I had done in colour as well, I really like how the splash turned out and this was similar to my contest submission, so it's a prelude to the voting that will start on the 21st!
I had a ton of fun shooting these, the 7d helped out a ton and maybe in the future I'll be able to get Chris and his 1d3 to help out too :)
Yey hump day!
EDIT
I've entered the contest here:
if you could vote I'd really appreciate it! I did another cookie splash! (number 7)
Thanks!

Yep, fresh out of the over. I pretty much hate the grip and stock, but i'm personally proud of the front end.
Also, early happy birthday for Badger. May you live many, MANY fucking years of the awesome thing life is.
(I should have added a little heart on it.)

This photo was taken at the park near our house, where I usually go for insect hunting.
Here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fig we can see some interesting information about the fig tree. If you noticed in some artworks, fig leaves were used to cover the genitals of nude figures in painting and sculpture.
The fig tree is one of the most prominent plants of the Bible, receiving mention in more than 50 texts. The first mention of the fig is in regard to the sewing together of its leaves for use as loin coverings by Adam and Eve after eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad. (Genesis 3:7)
Thanks for the view, faves and comments.....
Spotted a small pride of lions coming down the road that leads up the the Lenong Lookout point. I spent about an hour and a half following and photographing these beautiful creatures as they made their way down hill napping and grooming.
