On June, I celebrate the 6 years anniversary of I HAVE WINGS. Yes, it's been that long! It feels as if I only started a while ago to me. Time flies so fast and so many good thing have happened along the way!

To honour this, I designed this custom, which is still in process. I couldn't decide on which outfit so I am making both XD I think it was worth it, since it's a celebration and a special occation, it should be a super duper Blythe.

Customs to me are a long process. It starts with an idea, an image and it sits in my mind for quite a while. Then I sketch (a lot!) until I have it right the way I want it. Ussually I want to stick 100% to the design and not improvise along the way. She is the absolute incarnation of what "mori" means to me. A sweet, ethereal girl, dressed in natural fibers, with flowers and ribbons in her hair. Color palette I think might be aqua, ivory, chocolate brown & pink.

I hope you like her! I will be posting pics of her process along the way. :)

There are other surprises prepared for June too, so stay tuned ^_~

March 19, 2009 marked the 6-year anniversary of the Iraq War. A war that didn't need to happen. With over 4,261 military casualties, thousands of wounded soldiers, an economy in shambles as we struggle to pay millions a month with a staggering total of over $1 trillion and counting. Iraq civilian deaths numbering in the thousands. It sickens me. Let's get the eff out of there.

We've been on Flickr for 6 years now.

I'm really glad to have made all these friendships over the years. Thank you all.

(Grace is doing better than we could have believed, considering 2 weeks ago we'd thought it was "time.")

George is limping today. Ugh. Vet bills.

I do like chocolate! I usually tend to prefer the dark chocolate ones just to feel less gilt when I eat them. Thanks to everyone to participated and was involved in the group Dave & Dave.

Yesterday was our 6-year anniversary. We spent the day together and enjoyed each other's company. Matt is the best husband in the world. He not only does all the hard work around the house, he also cooks, cleans, and does so much with the dogs and horses. I'm so thankful to have him :)

This isn't the best photo, but we got married at our house where we lived at the time and didn't have an official photographer. So these photos were taken by a friend of the family.

We were engaged after a year of dating, and planned to get married a year later. But, we found out shortly after we were engaged that Matt's brother, Andy, was going to Afghanistan - he's an Army helicopter pilot.

We definitely wanted to get married before he left b/c he was to be Matt's best man. So, we knew everyone was going to be visiting in 2 weeks for Thanksgiving, so we threw it all together in 2 weeks and it was wonderful. It was small and intimate, and then that summer we had a big party where everyone got to come who didn't make it to the wedding due to the short notice :)

Luckily, Andy made it home safely...now he's supposed to go back again, this time to Iraq for 15 months. So everyone keep him and all of our soldiers in your thoughts!!!

so much to say about today. i don't want to be sad anymore. i don't want to focus on the pain anymore. we are bigger than that. stronger than that. i want to focus on hope, peace, love, compassion and survival. we are all survivors.

for those who parished and for those who lost loved ones....my heart goes out to you. god bless you.

Jet Li has been a part of my life for six years today. I love all my kitties, but this boy has a special piece of my heart.

I was going to take a shot earlier today, but we then we were gone all day and I hurried up to get a shot before the light was gone. Elliot helped get me a quick exposure for my black kitty with his light meter. It was good because Jet didn't really want to be cooperative right then. It isn't my favorite shot of this boy, but still.....
