The best display I've seen. This was just outside Cromarty We were treated to a display more reminiscent of Iceland. I'm grateful I never missed this one :)

I absolutely adore Casey's chunky little legs! She's been a bit poorly the last couple of days so it's been nice to see her more herself and getting up to no good again.
This isn't quite how planned, I really wanted her to hold the teddy but she wouldn't cooperate! Might have a go at this shot again some other time, I still like it though :)
I can't decide if I prefer this edit or one with a lens flare, what do you think?

It's the sun.........just below it is a mountain (not visible here) that blocks it from view in the earliest part of morning.

6/5/08--Just found out that this is the #1 Google link for "6th Lake," out of nearly 700,000 to 1,170,000 total (Google can't make up its mind)--though most are links for other 6th Lakes. It is proud I am to bring this gem of a lake to the attention of Googlers everywhere..........6th Lake, Inlet, NY
A photograph taken from 6th Street in Los Angeles captures the historic Los Angeles Theatre, an opulent movie palace located on Broadway. Opened in 1931, this French Baroque-style theater was designed by architect S. Charles Lee and was considered one of the most luxurious cinemas of its time. Funded in part by Charlie Chaplin for the premiere of City Lights, the theater features a grand six-story façade adorned with intricate detailing, a lavish marble lobby, and a breathtaking auditorium with a massive crystal chandelier. Once a symbol of Hollywood’s golden age, the Los Angeles Theatre now serves as a venue for special events, preserving its rich architectural and cinematic legacy.
I sent the drone down the bank this evening to see if I could spot any burrows - I am sure there is something in amongst the tumbledown trees and shrubs, but this is probably a job for the wildlife cameras tomorrow!
If you look closely you can see myself and Angus at the top of the hill by the fence... and yes, I need to sort out my mountain bike and start doing some exercise, thanks for noticing!

It works!
Much to my astonishment... the 8k camera arrived today along with the final bits I need to connect it onto the drone for a job next week. I must admit when I saw the carrier I had my doubts, when I saw (and felt the weight of) the camera I had serious doubts... but it actually works! The drone handling is "interesting" but it seems to cope with what I am asking it to do. I took it up to about 25m and landed it on a converted baby bath a couple of times, everything needs charged up now though and then I will try it properly when I next get a suitable weather window. I need to do an angled descent from 200 feet (60m) and get some smooth footage.
No pressure then.
But I am astonished that the drone took an additional 250g payload so well!
