The Mirror Ball installation was created by artist Michael Trainor in 2002, and is reputed to be the world’s biggest mirror ball at 6m in diameter. It is covered with 47,000 mirror tiles and rotates in a full circle once a minute.
This was my first time shooting Upper Antelope Canyon. I've seen many photos of it, of course, including the supposed 6M photo taken by that clown Peter Lik. Well as you can see, photos with ghostly images are a dime a dozen in Upper Antelope. Personally I think this one is a lot cooler than his.

La Silla has a 3.6m telescope that sits atop the highest hill at the observatory complex, it's a striking building that draws the eye. Normally the setting of an extremely dark area, the eclipse brought hundreds of tourists which demanded the facility to provide pathway lighting. After the eclipse ended darkness fell rather quickly, the lights came out and from our viewpoint for the eclipse we were positioned perfectly to capture the Milky Way rising behind the 3.6. As Paul Davies and I took our first exposures an extremely slow and bright meteor dropped over the Observatory, right through the middle of the core. We were beside ourselves with our luck, high fiving and laughing like kids, what an incredible sight as both our cameras captured the meteor. Bright airglow burns as red in the sky overhead to nicely accent the whole scene, a day to never forget.
9 exposures for this image, all shot with a Nikon Z7 and Sigma Art 35mm on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Mini tracking mount. Sky exposures are 2.5 minutes at ISO 800 and f2.8, foreground exposures are 60 seconds at ISO 800 and f2.8.

The weather today was kind for the 3238 gang as we tidied up and prepped the vehicle ready for the 2016 rally season, including a heavy clean inside and out and the fitting of various badges/vinyls to the front and rear of the bus. With 3238 now in prestine condition the opportunity was taken to capture her in the afternoon sun, seen here in Loop Road, Chislehurst. Sunday 13th March 2016. DSCN36016.

The first Leyland National to be refurbished as a National Greenway, was appropriately painted green. This is the prototype rebuilt from the shell of a former North Western (new to Ribble) 10.6m Mark 2. One week after this November 1991 rear view was taken in Bacup (whilst it was on demonstration to Hyndburn Transport), it was formally delivered to London Country (South West), in whose livery it is painted. Initial production versions retained the Van Hool-inspired rear end treatement, also fitted to contemporary single-deckers from East Lancs (and rebodied chassis) at the time, before a restyled version became available.

Hvannadalshnúkur is a pyramidal peak on the northwestern rim of the summit crater of the Öræfajökull volcano in Vatnajökull National Park, Iceland. Its summit is the highest point in the country.
Der Hvannadalshnúkur ist ein Schichtvulkan (Stratovulkan) im Vulkanmassiv des Öræfajökull ist mit 2.110 m der höchste Gipfel Islands.
Gleichzeitig handelt es sich aber beim Öræfajökull um einen mächtigen Zentralvulkan. Der Vulkan entstand vor allem während des Pleistozän in Ausbrüchen unter dem Eis und auch in eisfreien Zeiten
Schichtvulkane, auch Stratovulkane (von lateinisch stratum ‚Schicht‘) genannt, sind aus einzelnen geologischen Schichten von Lava und Lockermassen aufgebaute Vulkane. Man erkennt sie an ihrer relativ steilen, spitzkegeligen Form. Aufgrund der „grauen“, nicht glühenden Förderprodukte werden sie gelegentlich auch als „graue Vulkane“ bezeichnet.
