A 6am start this morning to shoot my first image of the year. I decided to head to south Donegal to explore an area that ive never been before so wasn't sure what to expect. On arrival we had some really heavy rain so we waited in the car for that to pass. Once it cleared we made the long journey on foot, hill after hill 50 minutes later and not really feeling like we were making any distance until we climbed the largest one of the morning. At the top we were gift to this amazing view and not another sole to be seen for miles. Donegal with yet another hidden gem.

Morning Light at the Lake
With self-isolation the norm not much to work on for new photos but I have been studying and learning the use of luminosity masking so I am going back through the vaults to grab some material to rework with new skills.
This shot was take from our dock before 6am one morning in early October as the light from the sunrise just crests the tree tops highlighting the morning mist as it curls around the lake surface.
I am hoping in a few short weeks it will be warm enough we can disappear to the lake on a very regular basis.
I took this with my D750 and Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens at 70mm 0.8s, f/16 ISO 100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz Denoise

The 6am Helena switcher got out of the yard before sunrise but is stuck on Winston Hill giving roll by inspections to numerous westbound freights.
They don't build them like this anymore...art deco architecture at the R. C. Harris Water Treatment Plant.
On the Kay Gardner Beltline footbridge over Yonge St., which is lined with the Iron Horse public art installation, featuring a dozen life-size galloping horses.
Looking up on Bloor St, with the front edge of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) on the left and condo towers on the right.
Definitely worth a 5am start today...this beautiful barn owl sat on a post for a few minutes as it searched for prey.
This is how my Super Bowl Sunday started out and it went down hill from there.15" of snow and 20-30 mph sustained winds made for white-out conditions and 4' drifts. It will take days to clean up this winter "wonderland"....
First time coming to this iconic place in the Blue Mountains, I guess the epic waterfalls in the area keep me busy.

I’m standing on the TST promenade in Hong Kong at 6:04 in the morning, way earlier than I’d ever crawl out of bed back home, but travel days do weird things to my alarm clock. The harbor water sits still enough to catch the skyline’s glow, and a few joggers puff past while I fiddle with my camera. Apart from them, I only spot one other guy—looks local—quietly lining up his own shots. The air is cool, the city’s just waking. Not bad for being up before most people have their first coffee.
Done this really nice engagement shoot with Kate&John on the mountains. Started 6am preparing for the shoot, but the weather was raining, foggy, you name it. however, you wont believe our luck, when i met the couple at 10am, the sun was out blue sky-but windy. i think it's a good thing! Yes the grass is wet so my trousers were wet, but we photographers and thats our job.
