When arriving in our home town and visiting the store for some dinner, we were welcomed by this great old coupe.
Lots of glass, narrow A-pillars, low stance, no absurdly aggressive styling. I’m not a BMW person but this design – if you can see it in the gloom – holds up.

No other German tuner indulged in excess more than Koenig : more spoilers, more width, more wings, and more power. This Munich-based tuner is best known for his Ferraris, but he also worked on Mercedes, Jaguars and BMWs. Even Lamborghinis and Porsches, which eventually led to the break with his former collaborator Strosek. This BMW is one of two 635s that Koenig transformed ; a black example also exists. This one spent many years in a London museum before being purchased by its current owner.

Maar ook deze is prachtig (om even in de BMW-sferen te blijven): een 635CSi met Britse platen. Inmiddels is de E24 6-serie voorzien van een Nederlands kenteken.

But also this one is a beauty (to stay in the BMW spheres): a 635CSi with British plates. Meanwhile, the E24 6 series has a Dutch registration.
