6940 successfully managed to avoid me the previous day when it failed with an air leak and the 13.15 Llangollen - Corwen was cancelled. This left me (and the Mrs) with a pleasant two hour wait in the sunshine at Carrog, plenty of time to sample the delights on offer in the tea shop!
With the gen that 6940 had been fixed, and a long drive home, a quick break was taken at Berwyn, where the hoped for 6940 produced on the first train of the day, in the wet and the mist!
