Jamie indicated a freshly rebuilt AC4460 was headed out of CB and eventually turned onto the Blair. Of course I had to go out and enjoy the clear skies and freshly repainted motor.
Its all filling in nicely, had a pleasant hour at Saul Junction in the Sun my first visit for a while.
Before overhaul and release back onto the mainline in Transrail grey, 37240 was part of the diesel fleet at Llangollen. Seven years earlier we have 37240 in early 1970s guise as 6940 posed up in Llangollen station during an EMRPS charter. 08/02/14.
It was a rainy cloudy day when I found this short-eared owl. I actually thought about not photographing it because of all the challenges by the limited light and the walk to her spot was not short. I decided to bring all my gear at the end and glad that I did. Went back the next day and she wasn't there any more.
It's been a few years since I saw them. While I was resting after my walk yesterday, I looked up and there they were, about a dozen of them!
