CP 5936 solo leads CP 694 through Plymouth, MN. Originally, I was assuming this thing had some typical UP GE’s or CP GE’s, but after hearing the rumble of EMD motors, I thought it was an SD70ACU, as a 40 on a road train is somewhat unheard of. Come to find out, I was very wrong! This train eventually went into Humbolt yard for a new pilot, however getting to shoot my first CP SD40 was awesome!

A pair of Soo Line GP38-2s stroll over 694 with a rail train. The next day, this train would drop new rail along the Soo Saint Paul Sub, replacing the older and lighter rail. Seeing two Soo units together in 2015 is getting VERY rare.
Looking like a scene from somewhere in Appalachia, a CSX (former Louisville & Nashville) SD40-2 guides Canadian Pacific train B50-694 into Marquette, IA. Empty sand train (694) left St. Paul earlier in the day. Once it arrived at La Crescent, MN the 694 was split. Part of the train continued east to one of the sand mines in western Wisconsin, while a B50 crew cabbed up from Marquette, IA to take what remained at La Crescent to Marquette as a B50-694.

In foto l'unità 694 assegnata al deposito locomotive di Verona mentre effettua la spinta al Rv 2244 Bologna Centrale - Venezia Santa Lucia presso Canaro (RO).
After more than 15 years the livery XMPR is about to be replaced in the convoys of Regional Transport Directorate with a new shade blue - gray with horizontal stripes on the sides blue - orange. The locomotives 464 currently under construction at the Bombardier plant in Vado Ligure (SV) directly receive this new livery.
