If you wonder why everything in Arecibo is blue and yellow; Those are the colors of the city flag, so all the "public" areas are painted like that (this is "Coll y Toste", the street where I live)!!!
B&O GP30 6927 leads train RS97 near Pavilion, NY on July 7, 1986. This view is taken from the old DL&W main that passed over the B&O on a bridge. There used to be a junction here long ago. Now even the old DL&W line is gone, as well as the bridge. The DL&W line at that time was used by a Conrail local to go as far as Dansville, and by the D&H salt trains to Griegsville.

The power from Chessie train RS-97 arrives in Silver Springs, NY to work the Morton Salt plant on July 7, 1986. A D&H/Guilford train is stopped on the Southern Tier Line to get orders. At the time any Eastbounds that were going to run on the faster track #1 between Hunt and Hornell would stop at the station and get orders to do so. Chessie was near the end of operating the 4th Sub between Ashford Jct. and Rochester, and had eliminated the Leroy switcher, making the road trains perform all the on line switching.
