These recently introduced class 68's have added a touch of glamour to the Scottish rail scene. 68017 is seen here at Edinburgh Waverley having just returned with a tea time Fife circular working. Once more my mobile phone supplied a little elevation for the camera.
I wasn't sure what to take this day, so I laid on a rock.
And then the next day construction workers tore up the whole field including these boulders. Strange how some things line up, I guess?

I’m sick of feeling off. Not quite right. Like you only realized how itchy your sweater is once you were in the car on the way to work. And now you have to wear it all day.
I haven’t slept well this week. Tossing and turning all night. But I’m busy this weekend so hopefully that’ll help and I can just knock out and actually get some rest.

Jadgstaffel 68 was a late formed Prussian Jadgstaffel. Ultimately it was credited with 40 air victories at the cost of 9 dead members. The first commander and most successful aviator was Ltn. Fritz Putter (1895-1918) who won the Pour le Merite. I believe Putter stands third from the left in this photograph. Putter had the misfortune of having his own incendiary ammunition explode in his aircraft during a mission in July 1918. Although he managed to land the aircraft, he was badly burned and succumbed to those burns in August 1918.
The Canon 24-85mm lens allows me to have a great and affordable "everyday" zoom lens. Overshadowed by the 24-70mm lens, this lens offers great value. It also provides me with images that are not razor sharp. It gives me that "film" look.
