Well by now they are showing their 'true colours' while doing this job! DBC 66074 & 66186 keep the 'cannons' turned on full as they charge through Lincoln Station with one of the daily RHTT workings 19th November 2021.
A nosey Woman watches me as I take this shot of a very dirty 66186 with 66074 on the rear. The world famous Heckington Windmill can be seen on the right of the shot. It is the Skegness to Peterborough leg of 3J42 09:54 Doncaster Up Decoy - Peterborough via Skegness. 17-11-2021.

2021 represents a significant milestone in the history of the Phoenix Railway-Photographic Circle with the celebration of our 50th anniversary by publishing a book to showcase some of the members work, past and present, from 1971 to the present day.
The book contains 14 chapters and 144 pages of photographs depicting the work of over 50 accomplished railway photographers with many differing styles and approaches. It takes an alternative view on photographing the railway scene over the past 50 years.
The book, called 50 Years of Phoenix will be published on 14th May 2021 with pre-orders now being taken – click on this link to order your copy: www.mortonsbooks.co.uk/product/view/productCode/15554

I could see the liner approaching for a a couple of minutes, it was running late and I was ready for the sand train. So, I worked out compositions for both, with only a second needed between the two locations at the top and bottom of the river bank. Unfortunately ’Bob’ appeared at precisely the wrong time!
66074 with the 4L48 06.56 Masborough to Felixstowe North liner heading east meets 69002 'Bob Tiller CM&EE' with the 6E86 08.15 Middleton Towers to Monk Bretton sand train at Beggars Bridge, Turves.
The 66 is running the wagons through the biomass loader, and will form the 1815 departure to Drax; after loading the train pulls forwards and the loco runs around, the headshunt being next to Station Lane, a little road that runs from the main road to the estuary. Wildlife report, oystercatchers on the estuary but they didn't come inland to bother the drone!

66074 approaches the reverse curves of Godnow Bridge with the 4R53 1355 Drax to Immingham biomass empties.
The railway here is on raised ground between the Stainforth and Keadby canal (just visible on the far side of the track), and drainage ditches, which all run parallel with the railway.
There is a very attractive ground level gate box here, which replaced the original signal box in the year 2000, incorporating some of the decorative woodwork of the original box.

Unbelievably there were /are 9 engineers trains heading East through Teignmouth and Dawlish today. It was in connection with a major engineering project in the Plymouth area. In addition to the bonus services there was a total block situation along the sea wall, this meant that the trains crawled along this stretch of line at 5 mph, the trains could be in line of sight of each other with no signalling knowing they could come to a stop, even in the tunnels. At one point we had two trains on the same track on the sea wall at Dawlish within sight of each other.
66074 eeks its way along the wall with old track forming the 1031 from Hemerdon to Westbury, 70801 had not long disappeared around the corner at Langstone Cliff.
Plenty of walkers along the sea wall burning off the roast spuds. I think everyone of them asked myself and a few other fellow phottwers what was occurring.

DBC 66186 & 66074 arrive early morning with a full on 'spray' while passing through Lincoln Station forming 3J41 Peterborough Loco Inspection Point - Doncaster Up Decoy Yard RHTT 17th November 2021. The front loco is in EWS livery and the rear one is in DB red, but you will find it very difficult to tell this at the moment!
This was my sixth attempt in recent weeks at getting a pair of red skodas here at Easenhall on 4M25 Mossend-Crick. Previous failings have included being bowled, having to give up as they were running over 100 minutes late, and the rest have been thwarted by clouds. My luck was finally going to be in today. A large bank of clouds was close to covering up the sun, but a check on RTT indicated the train had passed Shilton, and I reckon I had about to 2 minutes to play with before the lights went out. It was going to be close, but I was almost very excited, or is that relieved? However, my heart soon sank when I heard a most unwanted noise, a shed............. Here is 66074 vice the pair of 90`s, just a few seconds before the sun played hide and seek. I think I`ll just give up.
Db cargo`s 66074 passes Moor lane Copmanthorpe with 6M16 the 10.02 Tees N.Y. to Knowsley empty bins 14/03/2022.
Stand corrected on this but I think this is the only working currently on the the 'Low Level' line from Warrington Arpley to Ditton.
I got some inside information it was running today with a full consist and made the move to Hall Nook crossing on the outskirts Penketh. This train does not report on RTT from Speke Jct to Arpley but I was setting-up in anticipation regardless when I heard the horn for one of the crossings near the Marina. Poor light but I am glad to have recorded it today.
66074 ran low on fuel and 66131 was dispatched from St Blazey to assist onward from Exeter Riverside. The pair romp through Lostwithiel on 14th March.

DB Cargo Class 66/0 No. 66074 passes Ketton with 4M79, the 08:00 Felixstowe South – East Midlands Gateway intermodal on 20th April 2022.
The Midland Railway wooden-posted lower quadrant signal is remarkable in that it is the only remaining semaphore signal controlled by Ketton signal box and is almost certainly the oldest such signal on the national network, dating back to the opening of the box in 1900.
