23 April 2022 - Terwijl de buurtgoederentrein van Boekelo naar Haaksbergen onderweg is, komt de lijnbus van Enschede naar Haaksbergen langsgereden.
Zwei Regioshuttle (650 660 + 650 650) der Waldbahn waren als WBA1 auf dem Weg nach Plattling und konnten auf der Ohetalbrücke bei Regen abgelichtet werden.

Aangezien de ICE (die ik op lijn 3 wou fotograferen) toch te laat was, kon ik met een gerust hart nog bijf minuten na de doortocht van de NightJet blijven wachten op de lokaaltrein van Aachen naar Welkenraedt, zeker omdat ik wist dat ik een relatief graffitivrij klassiekje op foto zou krijgen.
Voor de gelegenheid verplaatste ik me een beetje in het veld, wat me voor de tweede keer die ochtend kletsnatte broekspijpen opleverde ;-)

Another train that I was able to photograph at the Hammerbrücke was this classic EMU of the SNCB in a service from Aachen Hbf to Welkenraedt. This service normally runs to Spa-Géronstère but due to the flooding in the valley of the Vesdre, it was limited (and still is) at the time I was in the neighborhood.

Tijdens een door particulieren georganiseerde fotorit bij de Museum Buurtspoorweg in Haaksbergen werd de laatste dag van de goederendienst van de Nederlandse Spoorwegen nagebootst. Tijdens deze dag reed de MBS 660 met een buurt goederentrein in wisselende treinsamenstellingen. De fotograven werden rondgereden in een oude bus van de TET die word onderhouden door de stichting Bus 38

Zaterdag organiseerden we als fotostop de eerste fotorit in enige jaren. We bezochten de Museum Buurtspoorweg, waar we het feit 'vierden' dan 50 jaar geleden, op 26 mei 1972, de laatste buurtgoederentrein van NS tussen Enschede en Haaksbergen reed. Hoofdonderwerp was DER-loc 660, van het type dat indertijd deze trein ook reed. Verder was een aantal goederenwagens optisch in de uitvoering van de jaren zeventig gebracht, was een aantal passende voertuigen geregeld en werden diverse 'authentieke' scènes uitgebeeld.
De buurtgoederentrein nadert ondertussen Zoutindustrie...

NGC 660 is a peculiar and unique polar-ring galaxy located approximately 45 million light-years from Earth in the Pisces constellation. It is the only such galaxy having, as its host, a "late-type lenticular galaxy", (lenticular is a type of galaxy intermediate between an elliptical and a spiral galaxy ). It was probably formed when two galaxies collided a billion years ago. However, it may have first started as a disk galaxy that captured matter from a passing galaxy. This material could have, over time, become "strung out" to form a rotating ring. [Wikipedia]
