It's a strange story about this abandoned train, rotting on a siding track east of Brussels. An urban explorer posted images of this train a time ago and called it "Orientexpress". Another photographer took this story for real and posted a very detailed description and history of the real Orientexpress and so on. Today you can find numerous misleading stories. But actually it was not the Orientexpress, but a luxurious and a very intersting diesel train built in 1936 and we were happy to explore it especially inside, before it will disappear some day. In fact, it's a Type 654 DMU (diesel multiple unit) of the Belgian Railways (NMBS/SNCB). Those trains were once the pride of Belgium railways, but today this is the only one left.

PeruRail Titicaca, so nennt sich ein Personenzug, welcher an drei Tagen pro Woche zwischen Cusco und der am bekannten Titicacasee liegenden Stadt Puno verkehrt. Am 27.06.2024 war ein Verkehrstag der gut im Licht laufenden Leistung nach Cusco. Der Zug lässt sich locker verfolgen und wir hatten bereits einige Bilder der blauen Garnitur angefertigt, als wir etwas weiter voraus fuhren, um genug Zeit zu haben, die Brücke über den Fluss Urubamba vor Sicuani aufzusuchen.

Jeszcze kilka lat temu w Polsce zima ze zdjęcia była czymś normalnym. Dziś pokrywa śnieżna utrzymuje się raptem kilka dni i tyle samo razy pada w okresie zimy. Ośnieżony niczym Dziadek Mróz, byk ze składem węglarek udaje się w kierunku stacji Herby Stare podążając na zachód linią kolejową numer 61.

A few years ago in Poland, winter from the photo was something normal. Today, the snow cover lasts only a few days and it rains the same number of times during the winter. Snow-covered like Grandfather Frost, a bull with a coal wagon train goes towards the Herby Stare station, going west on the railway line number 61.
