Ungewiss ist die Zukunft der Bahnverbindung von Chemnitz nach Aue. Der für die Leistungen zuständige ZVMS hat eine Abbestellung südlich von Thalheim für 2017 geplant, womit die auch Lößnitzer Schleifen ohne planmäßigen Verkehr wären. Noch in der oberen Schleife befindet 642 238, in wenigen Augenblicken wird er Lößnitz ob Bf erreichen.
In two loops descends the line from Chemnitz to Aue from the heights of the Ore Mountains into valley of the Mulde. 642 238 is still in the upper loop and will shortly pass the station of Lößnitz ob Bf. The future of this scenic line is uncertain, regular traffic might be suspended by the end of 2017.

Another terrible old description having an upgrade. If there is one thing I remember is that it was an absolute nightmare trying to bag a shot of 642. Many months went by and I was as sure as any that I would never get one. So, it was a right place right time thing which meant that it got ticked off the list. So, here we see Lothian buses 642 on a service 11 to Hyvot's Bank, which was a really good run for the bus at the end seen here at St David Street.
