THE wartime secrets of Audley End House and Gardens were revealed this August Bank Holiday weekend, 28th August 2016.
During the Second World War the Jacobean mansion near Saffron Walden was a secret training station for Polish soldiers.
Polish agents stationed at Audley End undertook a series of arduous training courses in all aspects of guerrilla warfare before being parachuted into occupied Europe.
In 1943, Audley End, or Secret Training Station 43, was placed exclusively under Polish control, a situation unique to the Special Operations Executive (SOE).
The training was tough and the pass-rate low, but a total of 527 agents passed through Audley End between 1941 and 1945.

Racing bike Favorit, I mean, that this is F15, but with special Favorit racing components. This bike was made in 1981, original paint and stickers. Original bearings, arbor (by pedals). New cables and bowdens. New tires, racket on handlebar, new cables to lights. New arbors in derailleur. I center wheels and I shine all bike. These bikes were made in Czechoslovakia (in Rokycany, since 1951). Bikes Favorit was pioneers in bike racing.

Jízdní kolo Favorit, nejspíše F15, ale se závodními komponenty. Rok výroby 1981, původní lak, který jsem trochu naleštil, originál samolepky. Podle všeho ložiska, hřídelka ve středu u pedálů, ale i klínky u klik nikdy neměněné. Vyměněna veškerá lanka, nová omotávka na beranech, nové pláště, duše, dráty ke světlům, naleštěné blatníky, vyměnil jsem hřídelky u vodících koleček v přesmykači (staré nebyly namazané a byly naprosto nepoužitelné), nacentrováno, kožené sedlo a pásky ke klipsnám ošetřeny (originální). Nové dynamo (to chci ale ještě někde sehnat originální, pokud bude), zrenovoval jsem pumpičku (ze dvou jsem udělal jednu funkční).
