Forest Rituals
As we had our sunday walk through the forest, for some reason we took a turn and treaded a not so often walked on path. Ferns started to sprout on it and little or no sign was spotted that indicated frequent visitors....A bit further we came to an open space and in the middle of fern sprouts an old tree stomp, seeing what was like deliberate spreading of flowers and things , i ventured to get closer. What i saw was this kind of maybe an offering with fruit, fresh fish, flowers, vegetables, all fresh and probably recently put there... Around it rune signs drawn on the tree stomp.
The spirits of ancient times were present and tangialbe in the air….
Just a few min's from missing the last light, BNSF 6231 leads 8 other locomotives north near Elsberry, Missouri on an empty coal bucket train on BNSF's Hannibal Subdivision.

Little egret

Egretta garzetta
The little egret is a small, white heron that feeds on small fish and crustaceans. Once a very rare visitor from the Mediterranean, little egrets are now a common sight around the coasts of southern England and Wales as they expand their range, possibly due to increasing temperatures caused by climate change. It first bred in the UK on Brownsea Island, Dorset, in 1996, and has been moving northwards ever since; it was recorded as breeding in Berkshire for the first time in 2007.
A very pitoresque scenery can be found at the "cour à marchandise" at Châtelet, especially when a pair of infra 62's shunts around.

An Infrabel ballasttrain gains access to the former "cour à marchandises" or goods loading and unloading area, thereby passing the now disused (and disconnected) shunting locos stabling tracks. A very nostalgic end of a warm summer evening on 11/09/2019.
