OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

On a frosty morning, holding out against winter.

Probably Yarrow (Achillea millefolium). Confirmation from someone who knows their flowers would be appreciated!

Now, let me be my own critic on this photo of mine...

Personally, I didn't like this shot that much... I feel that it is too close... I would've preferred it to be taken a lil futher...

I had to use vignette because the blue background was a bit overwhelming...

What is your opinion? :)

Nevertheless... Happy Monday Blues!

The eggshell is only used once - the chick needs to break out of it with its tooth (which is also a single use item that falls off after a couple of days) or other animals will crack it to get to the food inside.

I've used my new macro lens! I've never taken macro before, and certainly never focus-stacked images, so this represents real testing. The lights in the background are on the Christmas tree.

30 images per stack (both)

The shot on the right was at min focus distance (hence the huge bokeh). The shot on the left was twice as far from the subject. Both wide open at f/2.8

Shadows cast by springs, lit by an orange light. The lens flare is reflections off the top of the springs.

Another take on the glass vase from my first photo of the year for the 100x project!
