Aanvankelijk zou zaterdag 28 november maar een sombere dag worden. De voorspellingen vorige week maandag deden geen hoop krijgen. Echter woensdag veranderden de voorspellingen bijster snel en zouden we zaterdag in het ganse land zon krijgen. Al snel kwam ik tot het plan om naar lijn 36 te gaan. Er zouden immers omleidingen zijn wegens buitendienstelling van lijn 35. Nog laat vrijdagavond veranderde ik mijn plan. Lijn 36 zou toch niet zo interessant zijn en bovendien was lijn 50a ook buiten dienst gesteld. Lijn 73 en een stuk van lijn 66 zouden dit weekend een hele hoop treinen te verwerken krijgen. Zowel de IC tussen Brugge en Gent en vice versa, alle cargo zou via lijn73 omrijden.
's Morgens vroeg was ik al vroeg uit de veren om de eerste treinen in de mist op foto te zetten. Zowel Lineas als DB lieten zich zien maar het was nog te vroeg om deze eerste 2 treinen te fotograferen met goed licht. Tegen de middag waren er nog maar 2 13'en gepasseerd richting binnenland en 2 goederentreinen richting zee. De 2 vetste cargo's van de dag waren nog onderweg! Vooraleer deze laatste voorbij kwamen moest de tijd natuurlijk nuttig besteed worden. Dat verhaal doe ik later wel nog eens. Uiteindelijk werd het 15h en was de eerst met-class-gesleepte trein binnen handbereik. Na een rit van meer dan 5uur lang, passeert de Rheinhausen-shuttle uit Montzen de 2 verkleumde fotografen. De eerste winterkou liet zich immers al van 's morgensvroeg voelen! Waar wat waren we blij met de foto! Hierna zou HSL nog komen, dus heet werd nog even volhouden.
Deze trein rijdt normalerwijs via Essen grens(Nl.) maar de Traxx die deze trein tot in Antwerpen zou brengen viel helaas in panne. Hierdoor moest deze containertrein weggesleept worden via Duitsland. Vrijdagnacht kwam deze trein dan België binnen en strande in Montzen. Zaterdagochtend om 10uur zou de rit als 60246 verder gezet kunnen worden tot in Zeebrugge CSP. Nog eens 6uur later - we zijn ondertussen 16u - werd de eindbestemming Zeebrugge uiteindelijk bereikt.
294 610 mit dem GAGC 60246, welcher mit rund drei Stunden Verfrühung bei VS-Zollhaus abgepaßt wurde.

Not a fan of the countless Police, Fire & Rescue sets coming out in the City line each year but this year it seems alright to me... I think the designers simplified the designs and kept it almost junior-ish... Nevertheless still quite nice looking sets...
Not sure if anyone noticed but the design of the police cars, the police logo is different already... I guess I got the last batch of the old police design in 2019...
