Thank you my Flickr friends. Your interest in my photography means a lot to me. Although I’m not the one to react on each comment it doesn’t mean that I’m not happy with all the faves and comments you gave me. It’s really much appreciated!!!

The northern end of Jackson Lake greets visitors who enter the Grand Tetons from the north. On this day we began to see the autumn color a few miles up the road. We rounded a curve in the highway and suddenly we were confronted by this enchanting view. It was enough to fill my eyes with tears and definitely resulted in a rapid turn out for photos. I'm a sentimental old fool.

Tonight in Sydney. Monday, 1st April, 2024.

Easter Monday.

The blue sky across the city this evening just after sunset.

Photographed from 'Eagle Rock', a rock ledge on the harbour. It is located along the Ballasters forest track, just below the Balls Head Reserve, at Waverton.

So Easter Monday allowed me to drive down to the harbour late in the afternoon, after visiting Bunnings at Dural (the best place to go at Easter for plants) and then Benzin Cafe at Dural, for extreme coffee.

This time I chose the Balls Head Reserve, at Waverton. And - amid all the Brush Turkeys (there is a huge colony of these wild turkeys at Balls Head) I tried various forest walks beside the harbour, descending from the top of Balls Head to the Ballasters Track, beside the harbour.

Finally, in the gloom of dusk, I located a rock ledge (known as 'Eagle Rock') that seemed like it would provide a good view to the city. And it did, but I was probably a bit late. So I will return to grab photos on another occasion at this secluded spot - but a little earlier (right on sunset). It was then a 'fabulous' challenge to ascend the headland in the dark and locate the car in the forest car-park.

Street photography from Glasgow, Scotland.

Colour re-edit of a shot from September 2023. Captured as a close-up demonstration for my street photography workshop where there was, fortuitously, a Scottish Independence rally going on in George Square. Always an opportunity to practice getting closer as cameras are pretty much everywhere. Enjoy!
