Ah, the catbirds... They visit for a few weeks during migration but they don't stick around to raise their families. They are sneaky little guys and stick to the fern bed and other flowerbeds very close to the house. This guy was caught bathing in a glass bath near the house, there are plenty of plants surrounding it and the firebush by the living room window covers it from above. The neat thing about the firebush is you can leave it and it will grow like a huge shrub or you can trim it into a small shrub or you can train it like a tree. The one near my living room window is like a tree.
The glass bath in this image is the only bath I have ever witnessed these guys use.
This image was taken from the living room window.

Three weeks ago when I photographed this little female Kestrel, I only gave her 4 stars out of 5 because I really wanted a male, with a tasty bug in hand. But two days ago, I visited the same place and had a gloomy foggy misty atmosphere and zero cooperation from the Kestrels. So I decided I'd raise this little lady to a 5 and post her.
