As Ontario gets ready for another major ice storm, I look back on the shots I took after the ice storm of 2013. It was certainly one of the more surreal settings I've ever witnessed.

Had to get down on elbows and knees in a muddy stream bed for these images. Harvesters have a wing span of about an inch to an inch and a quarter. With wings closed like this half as much.. They seem much smaller when your trying to photograph them...

This species range appears to be from Manitoba Canada down through Texas, east to the Atlantic in North America.
