I had a craving for çılbır (Turkish poached eggs) today and made this easy version.

The eggs were poached in a mug in a microwave. Fill a coffee mug 1/2-2/3 with water, carefully crack an egg into it, taking care to not break the yolk. Microwave uncovered for around 55 seconds (YMMV). For two eggs, repeat the process rather than trying to fit two eggs into the mug. In a shallow bowl mix a clove of minced garlic with several tablespoons of plain yogurt, and a little salt. Drain the water from the mug and slide the eggs on top of the yogurt. Melt a tablespoon of salted butter and sprinkle with Aleppo pepper flakes (pul biber), then drizzle on top of the eggs and yogurt.
