I haven't seen many woodpeckers all summer long and now suddenly they seem to be everywhere.

Super day out with newly sprouted orchids. This is a man orchid so named after the "gingerbread man" figures of the flowers. I have never seen them so fresh and new - usually gone over by the time I catch up with them.
