Here's one of those diminutive Sanderlings on the beach. That's seaweed behind it. Having grown up at the beach, as a kid I hated seaweed. If I was in the water and it grazed me, I'd be outathere for the rest of the day. Another tidbit - this is risky eye-level photography without a camera housing. But I'm a "professional", having grown up at the beach. A couple of sneaker waves tried to get me, but I was too good for them, even with my ground pod setup.

Dropping down the Moffat Tunnel line into Denver is a rerouted GJNSM manifest train, seen at Blue Mtn. crossing in October of 1992. Rio Grande SD50 #5516 leads a pair of Southern Pacific engines on a train that normally would have used the Tenn. Pass line between Dotsero and Pueblo.

Westbound CN freight rounding the curve as it approaches Denfield Road, between Hyde Park and Komoka, led by GP38-2 5516, M-420 2556 and GP38-2 5537. All of these units at the time were quite new. The GP38-2s have been renumbered into the 4700 and 7500 series, and are used today in yard and local freight service today; the M-420 has long since been retired. The location has changed out of all recognition.

This contemporary work is a movement exploration that investigates the relationship between movements, rhythm and tempo. Through the research, movement metaphors emerge that question relationship, trust, leadership and community.
